On the morning of 14 July 2026, Hateco Hai Phong International Container Terminal (HHIT) held its 2026 Mid-Year Business Performance Review Conference to evaluate operational results for the first six months of the year and outline key priorities for the remainder of 2026. The conference was attended by Mr. Tran Van Ky, Chairman of Hateco Group; members of the Board of Directors and the terminal's Executive Management; representatives of strategic shareholder APM Terminals; department heads; and all HHIT employees.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Ky, CEO of HHIT, noted that despite continued uncertainties in the global maritime and logistics industry, HHIT has maintained strong growth momentum. During the first six months of 2026, HHIT delivered strong business performance, handling 450,000 TEUs, representing a 48% increase compared with the same period last year. The terminal welcomed 151 vessel calls, up 45% year-on-year, including the arrival of MATZ MAERSK, a Triple-E class container vessel measuring 400 metres LOA with a deadweight of 214,000 DWT. The vessel is the largest container vessel ever to call at a seaport in Northern Vietnam, further demonstrating HHIT’s capability to accommodate ultra-large container vessels and reinforcing the growing strategic importance of the Lach Huyen Deep-Sea Port in the global maritime network.
